Board of Directors

  • Melissa Scott, President

I am thrilled to serve as the first Board President. After directing last year's delightful Finding Nemo KIDS, I look forward to another summer at the Powell Amphitheater. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Ohio Northern University and currently work as the Drama Director at Olentangy Liberty Middle School. My recent directing credits include Frozen KIDS, The Day the Internet Died, and 101 Dalmatians KIDS. My favorite part of summer theatre is seeing kids from different schools come together to create an amazing performance and form new friendships.

  • Jennifer Rahde, Vice President

I’m excited to be Vice President and part of the creative team! I’m a relentlessly upbeat person who loves my family, music, and audiobooks. I live with my husband, Matt, our three incredible kids, and our three crazy dogs. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the College of Wooster and taught K-12 music in Stow-Munroe Falls City Schools for eight years. I also have a Master of Mental Health Counseling degree from Walsh University and hope to get back to working as a therapist soon.

Musical theatre has been a passion of mine for most of my life; I starred in Oklahoma and The Sound of Music in high school. Recently, I’ve worked with Mrs. Scott and this fantastic team on Frozen KIDS at Liberty Middle School, and we’re gearing up for Finding Nemo KIDS in the Summer of 2024. I absolutely love seeing cast members form lasting friendships spanning ages, distance, and school districts while creating incredible art and memories together.

  • Jennifer George, Treasurer

Born and raised in Florida and always a pit orchestra member in school productions, I watched the fun eccentricities of the actors on stage with awe and admiration. Now an attorney and mother of three, it doesn’t matter whether the task is administrative, creative construction, or just cleaning and hauling, I welcome any opportunity to contribute to theater and all of its amazing personalities and talent. The team building, creative process, and witnessing it all come together in a final show is nothing short of inspirational and just a plain blast!

One of my absolute favorite parts of working on costumes for the different shows is witnessing the bonds formed among the performers. After the shows, it is such a privilege to hear them share about and compliment each other‘s bravery, strengths, and memories made during the production. It's priceless.

  • Michael Siroskey, Secretary

I am grateful to serve as the Secretary and as a Technical Director. I bring experience and a lifelong passion for the performing arts. Since elementary school, I’ve worked behind the scenes, building sets to immerse the audience in the environment, designing and running light and sound to ensure performers can be seen and heard, and creating unique visual effects to make unforgettable magical moments on stage. I am dedicated to fostering the growth and development of future theater professionals, ensuring that our productions continue to inspire and captivate audiences. I’ve enjoyed volunteering on the team and leading young, emerging technicians in productions, including The Day the Internet Died, Disney’s Finding Nemo KIDS, 101 Dalmatians KIDS, and Frozen KIDS.

  • Abbey Kromhout, At-Large

I am honored to serve as the Operations Director. For the past four years, I have dedicated myself to leading publicity efforts for the Drama Club at Liberty Middle School, and I’m currently in my fourth year as the PTO President at OLMS. I hold a Master’s degree in English from the University of Kentucky. Beyond my volunteer work, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband, John, our three children, Michael, Gabriella, and Ali, and our floofy baby, Paco. My favorite part of the summer theatre program is watching the kids support and encourage each other.

  • Christina Last, At-Large

I’m thrilled to serve as a board member and set designer! I truly enjoy bringing stories to life through fun and exciting environments. With a background in interior design and a Master’s in Management from the University of Florida, I’ve had the joy of working on magical productions like Frozen KIDS, Finding Nemo KIDS, and Aladdin Jr. My favorite part of designing sets is collaborating with kids to create spaces that spark imagination and transport audiences to a whole new world. I can’t wait to continue making theater a place where kids (and grown-ups!) can dream big!
